BHC EQUIPS TSHWAANE SCHOOL LIBRARY

On Friday September 20th, 2019, the Botswana Housing Corporation through its Corporate Social Responsibility handed over a full equipped library to Tshwaane Primary School near Moshupa village.
 
Speaking at the official handover ceremony, the Corporation's CEO, Mr Reginald Motswaiso they decided to donate to the school not because the school was more deserving but that the needs assessment conducted was more compelling hence the reason they came to their rescue. He said the library as an important component of the learning environment will help provide the necessary amenities for students especially during examinations.
The project which was done by former Moshupa Brigade carpentry students consists books shelves and computer desks and a sitting areas for all learners including those in the early years of primary school. Tshwaane School has in the past benefitted from BHC and this has since motivated the students to perform even better with each passing year having attained a 92% pass mark in the previous year.
 
When proposing a vote of thanks, the Assistant Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry and former Moshupa/ Manyana Member of Parliament, Hon. Karabo Socrat Gare applauded BHC for having seen it fit to heed the school's call especially with a resource such a library which would help students in the learning journey.
 
The handover event which was done in conjunction between the Corporation and the community of Tshwaane was hailed as a success as those in attendance including the learners ullulated and showed appreciation for this great deed.
 
The event was attended by among others the Local Authorities, Regional Education Representatives as well as the community which came in large numbers.
