BHC DONATES FACE MASKS AND HAND SANITIZERS TO SCHOOLS IN SELIBE PHIKWE

The Corporation, through its Social Responsibility Initiative (CSR) continues to demonstrate upport and commitment  in the fight against the global pandemic Covid-19 which continues to affevt many communities in the country.
In response to the needs arising from most communities particular in the Selibe Phikwe area, the Corporation, through its Selibe Phikwe Area Office donated some 149 embroided face masks and hand sanitizers to three schools in the mining town. The schools include Boitshoko, Boitumelo and Botshabelo Primary Schools. The donation items are to be allocated to disadvantaged learners in a quest to help them mitigate against the effects of the deadly virus in schools and the community at large.


When speaking during the handover of the items attended by the schools' representatives and parents, the BHC Selibe Phikwe Area Office Manager, Mr. Dithebe Kochane said it is during this unprecedented times that the Corporation finds it critical to lend a helping hand in fighting this pandemic. He said that the Corporation continues to  assist and support communities and schools through its social responsibility initiative where it can and so far many communities around Botswana have benefitted from this initiative. Kochane further said that he believes the donated items will assist disadvantaged learners protect themselves from contracting the virus and curbing further spread to others.


In his closing remarks he implored everyone to embrace the spirit of giving and come together and support the disadvantaged communities in fighting the spread of Covid-19.
